First Day at Al Dente Hyatt Regency Guam!

After two days of oreantation ( Nov 22/23, 2010), I had to wait to get to work because I didn't have the Health certificate from Guam. The interesting thing is although I have Serve Safe certificate from NRA in the US, I am still not allow to handle the food at the restaurant. Anyway, I got the temporary one and went to work today no knowing anyone there except I have met chef Jo at the interview day as well as executive chef Josef.

  I got to work place before 3 pm and got my uniform and wore it and took that pic above in the locker room. I still need to get my locker. Today I couldn't get because the HR is closed for the weekend. After that, I went to clock in.
   Then I went up to Al Dente and met sous chef Jo and met other kitchen staffs. They all welcome me as it is my first day. They all are young except the head chef Edge. I still do need to orient in the kitchen : I was assigned to work with comi chef at cold station (Garde Manger). Actually, I have to observe what other people do in the kitchen for the first day so as to be familiar with the work. Everything went well so far. Everyone is so nice so far. Hope everything is going to turn out very well in the future.
