Hi! This post is just to remind myself in the future where I was and where I am. I flew on Continental Air to Honolulu on the 16th of Feb from Guam and arrived Feb 15th here in Hawaii.
Although there is the saying " A bird in the hand is worth two in the bush", I've resigned from my work in Guam and decided to come to Hawaii to look for the job. Thinking about what if I didn't get the job and how to survive while i am flying. There was an old Micronesian lady siting next to my seat, who didn't talk much. I was sick, so I took a sleeping pill and slept almost all the way through. Eventually, the plane has landed and my friend Dana was there to pick me up and dropped me at Kapiolani Blvd apt : what a view from 17th floor apt. I can see the whole Waikiki area and the Diamond Head from the porch and the back is UOH campus and the most interesting for me is looking down in the ground in the back, The Grave Yard. I like my room very much. People who I stay with are very friendly and helpful. Went to bed early and rest for the first night so called home.
Since then I have been hunting the jobs. To make the story short, I will be working with Alan Wong's Restaurant here. 99% is sure for now. What if the 1% screwed with the HR? Adios! Mahalo!
